Re: CT and COIN operations in India: News, Images and Discus
Posting from the Misc Pictures thread I think the article was talking about giving them some field experience in J&K etc. Not permanent duty. Experience has to be built up somewhere. And despite western notions of difference between Army Special Forces and City SWAT teams, in India the situation...

Re: Miscellaneous Pictures - Indian Military
The India Today article is way too ridiculous. Use the Force One for anti Naxal duty? Patrol in J&K or N.E? It was created as a SWAT team and a QRT team, that is where it's skills lie. They would be demanding that Force One should replace the Army in border areas, next.

Go through the QuickClot donation thread. There is a separate thread concluding the whole thing, I think. You'll understand why BRFites are not exactly enamoured with Bhavesh Bhatt when you read it.

Thanks a lot shiv. I now know what to spot. I am now having 2nd thoughts, actually. It might have been a Jaguar, LCA or Hawk. One of these 3. It is pretty hard to spot the wing though,, when it flying across in front of your eyes. I focused on the nose and the overall shape of the aircraft. Honestly...

For the first time today, I saw a fighter aircraft flying in Bengaluru. I am new here, and over the past month, I heard the thundering, but have never been able to spot any aircraft. Today, I realized the truth in what Shiv said at the beginning of this thread. Aircraft recognition is a skill, devel...

Aaryan, just to confirm, it wasn't the regular SEALs who did the operation, it was Seal Team 6 or DEVGRU (correct me if I am wrong). They are Tier 1 spec op forces in the USA, along with Delta Force. Tier 1 means black operations, where the govt denies everything in case things go 'bamf'. As Tier 1,...

The nation should not be held to ransom, only when there is no other option left! If the 'expendable people' theory is applied at the first go itself, then things will get worse with every situation. Firefighters, policemen, the defence forces- should we dissolve them all because lives are expendabl...

That sniffer dog team. The camo pattern seems to be like that of BSF, than CRPF.
If the digital camo guys are Punjab Police SWAT, who are the blue uniformed guys then? And the black uniformed policemen in the last pic?
And 3rd question. Who are the RAB?

Yes, you are right, but I have usually seen two magazines taped together. In these two pics, posted by Hiten in Misc Pics thread, one can clearly see that there is some sort of slot in the gun itself for a 2nd magazine. Am I right? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22051036/2011.02.25_NSG_Commando_www.aame.in...
