Re: Indian Military Aviation

Talking about the MTA, from the wing span shown in the pics on Livefist, the MTA will not be capable of very slow flight. That is a requirement for aircraft that need to refuel helis. the Embraer KC-390 has recently had a design change in relation to this, where the wing span was increased signific...

Reporting straight from LCA Tejas cockpit

Link
The aircraft is very stable and that gives it the requisite agility and manoeuvring capability.
Seems contradictory to me. The whole article has a very amateurish feel about it.

Re: LCH and other Helicopters Discussion Thread

No news on further flights by LCH anywhere...? Spotters in place? It seems to be making short hops (only 5 minutes or so). Thought I had seen it day before but it was a camo Dhruv (probably a weaponized one but my old eyes fail me these days). Question to folks here: How similar are the side profil...

^^ What high rate of attrition are you talking bout. If you are talking bout the last 2-3 months well then yeah i have to agree all of a sudden the number has increased, but i still think although tragic, its still a statistical abberation. What do you guys think is the reason of such high rates of attrition in IAF?? 1. Is is lack of proper training facilities esp limited advanced jet trainers? 2. Age of IAF fleet 3. Lack of maintenance facilities or protocols 4. Lack of support by the Originating country for spares etc 5. Corruption ...

Also, check the bits next to the air intakes, the think extensions that separate the intakes from the fuselage are tell-tale Tejas. T...
