^ Let's not forget that our purchases are based on our naval war doctrines which are quite different from that of the United States. We have a floating airstrip that is able to launch 20 Mig29ks in the middle of the ocean, that means something! Also, it is easy to build $15 billion aircraft carriers...

Can someone please explain the purpose of having SR-SAM, MR-SAM and LR-SAM instead of just a generic long range surface to air missile?
Thank You

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
Sushma Swaraj is correct in saying that a strong opposition is required to defeat Congress. She has been in the game long enough to make such a statement. The reason Congress has been able to prevail in this country despite poor governance is due to the lack of a good alternative since independence ...

Hey fellas, I was looking into some of the systems on the P-8s and came across this from Wikipedia : In mid-2008, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) deleted the requirement for the P-8A to be equipped with magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) equipment. This was part of a NAVAIR-directed effort to r...

^ True. It is time to call their bluff.
I think China is overestimating its capabilities. Part of the reason why China is acting this way is the centuries of repression that the Chinese people have endured. 30 years of growth and prosperity is now causing them to overcompensate which is foolish IMO.
