Re: Obliterating Islamic State (ISIS)

I would like to ask: why should we obliterate ISIS? Not just India, why should even Western nations bother about the ISIS? Just ensure that ISIS does not get hold of WMD. As long as that can be ensured, ISIS can fight till the crack of doom, who cares? None of our business. In fact, I would say - an...

I think cash deposits above 10K need to have a charge levied on them. 10K-30K: 0.5%. 30k-50K: 1%. 50K+: 2% - and so on. That will dis incentivize cash transactions. Related point: I really hated Baba Ramdev's suggestion to impose a "bank transaction tax". That will dis incentivize banking,...

I came across this ABP interview of Shri Ajit Doval, from 2013 - well before he was made NSA. Interesting takeaway from the interview: watch from 6:45 onwards, he says that Chidambaram was a good home minister. I too don't think degree matters that much. But programming is not just about algorithms and logic. You would need to know underlying architecture, including kernel. It would be easier if one comes through the CS degree but can always picked up outside the academics. Respectfully disagree here too....
