Re: DEFEXPO-2012: March 29 to April 1, 2012 - Photos & News
Insas Excalibur or Amogh has long been rejected by the armed forces. Why do they still display them in every Defexpo? Didnt see any news on MSMC recently either.

Re: India / Afghanistan - A New Strategic Relationship
The M16 is the standard issue to the 164k Afghan army. As per the pact when we start training and equipping ANA, what could be the items we would start with? Does Insas stand a chance?

Re: CT and COIN operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
My 2 cents. We can use choppers. But not as gunship or bombers, instead we can use them to transport QRT or Hit teams(with more ammo, less ration). Who will land around 1 KM from site and try to punch a hole in siege while ambush is going on. This will help in 2 way - 1) divert the enemy's fire pow...

Re: CT and COIN operations in India: News, Images and Discussion
This has happened in past and will continue to happen in all the states where Congress is not in power. Somebody somewhere in the corridor of power has not put a file (intelligence?) in the right place at the right time. Now he will come up and say,I have already warned. Congress has done this for d...

Re: Artillery Discussion Thread
The article says point 5353 is under Pakistani control since 1999. So, didn't we retake all the peaks from Pakistan during Kargil war..?nachiket wrote:Indo-Pak detailed Border Analysis
It deals a lot with relative artillery strengths and positioning. So posting it here. Its not rosy picture for us.

Re: India-China News and Discussions
The latest statement on Kashmir as another "nation" is a slap in the face of India and the GOI must similarly pay China back in the same coin regarding the status of both Tibet and Taiwan.Another round of Nuke and missile tests at this juncture would be most welcome and put the dragon in ...

Re: Afghanistan News & Discussion
The target was undoubtedly Indian embassy. TIMES NOW reports that the blast was of the same intensity as last year's. Because of measures taken after last year's incident, the Indian embassy and the Indians there escaped. Once again, the Haqqanis helped by ISI must have conducted this. It won't be ...

Re: Could China and India go to war over Tibet?
This to my mind is to create some crisis so that the Uighur problem goes into the background and the Chinese are 'united' to face a common enemy! I do hope we have 'friends' amongst the Uighurs and have cultivated them. I have an uncomfortable feeling that we haven't! Yes...neither we have frnds in...
