Or if we want to take it a step further and develop a Grizzly like assault breacher variant of Arjun.ramana wrote:Would be nice to have a mine clearing attachment like the Mine Wolf developed for the Arjun. Atleast arm the Sappers and Miners with these in the strike corps and then see the maza.

Re: Indian Naval Discussion
Kudos to the designer and builders of the P17. However, like some other posters, I was wondering what will happen if we used the whole front raised deck for installing the VLS cells. Here is just a quick photoshop version of the P17 with 88 Brahmos-sized VLS cells - this is just for quick discussion...

Re: LCH discussion
I am not even sure what was the reason to install the mmW radar to begin with. From what i gathered doing quick reading on the subject, here are the reasons why MMW is installed: 1) From Army Technology An advantage of millimetre wave is that it performs under poor-visibility conditions and is less...

While we are speculating on the shape of the fins, it is possible that we are simply seeing the fins being deployed and in "half-open" position. For reference please check out this video at around 7sec when the GBU-28's fins are being deployed. The relative distance of the GBU-28 from F-11...

Re: Artillery Discussion Thread
When I look at the smerch trucks, it looks like the launchers can be moved only up and down ( in one direction). So the trucks might have to be put in right direction to launch the rockets. I initially thought the same, but found this video which shows the off-axis movement of the Smerch tubes (aro...

Re: Artillery Discussion Thread
isn't size of hydraulics here too big for its payload? If we compare it to Smerch or Grad, they appear to be a bit bigger. (Speculating): Is it possible that the hydraulics have been designed to handle higher weight rockets later on? From the first photograph posted on Livefist , the launcher conta...

No doubt Anant. I agree with what you are saying here. Wish we could select the planes purely on technical merit based on IAFs requirement and the finances available.
