AFAIK C-60 is a Anti-Naxalite Commando Force. It is a special operation squad attached to Police Units.
They are currently operational in Gadchiroli and Gondia.

China does not need a strategic reserve because they have enough oil fields on land that defense can commandeer. Not that china does not need a strategic reserve...its in their interest to stockpile the same... and by oil fields if you mean the production fields, then its not at all enough for them...

Interestingly, from what I hear it was 6th and not 8th that was rushed to handle Kargil ops. Yeah..Gen VP Malik was in favor of giving the task to GOC 6 M DIV - Maj Gen Ashok Hakku as he had earlier commanded 121 INF BRIG.
