Planning to visit IAF museum, Palam. Cameras are not allowed inside the museum premises. Is there any way ( special permission etc) by which I can take the camera along? Cheers.... I think you can ask at the gate. I have taken a camera inside once. Even if you are not allowed to take your camera, t...

Re: LCH and other Helicopters Discussion Thread

Gurus,
What are the advantages/disadvantages of a skid vs rolling landing gear in an attack helicopter. I notice the super cobra uses skid, however tyres seem to be the popular choice all over. Are skids not 'crash-worthy'?

(Also a BR expert needs to edit the LCH page on Wikipedia.)

I checked the source picture, zoomed in, it is the Balidan badge, actually looks like a 'patch' sewn into the shirt. Another thing, if this the only badge/patch he is wearing, it makes sense to wear it on the left side.

Also interesting to note that when women police (wo)manhadle females it seems ok...but absolutely not when done by (men) police. why's that. Our culture apart, even in US a female officer is called when available to handle unruly women.

There has been no change, IAF never parks its choppers at safdarjang. BSF has its Mi 17s parked there. It has one hanger. Pawan Hans has one hanger with some old Bells which havnt flown in 10 years. Except for that there are no parking spaces.

You are correct in a way that previously phalcon system has also been incorporated as pods or within the structure of the plane without having that disc like structure atop the fuselage.
