Gurneesh, think long term. Think how good will this platform hold up to a J-20 and future Chinese stealth platforms. Against the Chinese, India cannot achieve parity - plane for plane, tank for tank, ship for ship. But you can achieve a technological advantage. AMCA is still ways off. PAK-FA is now...

The last F-16s made for USAF was in 1999. India wants to acquire 200 F-16s 20-years+ later! Any foreign power take India seriously? At least till AMCA arrives, F-16IN will be better than anything in our inventory other than Rafale and maybe MKI. In our immediate region that is populated with J10 an...

IAF has not flown single engine birds on 26th for a while now. Which is why there will not be a M2000 or LCA display. Probably has to do with safety of the spectators due to presence of birds.

Gurneesh, we see the experience of using gas turbine in M1 Abrams, principal issues being fuel efficiency while idling and dust intake while operating in deserts. With the 2 engine concept, idling inefficiency of a 0-500hp VGT/APU is not as bad as a 0-1800hp turbine, being VGT maybe multiple power ...

Engine concept if you really insist on dual engines. On most modern large engines, Turbo provides about 30% of rated power . This contribution % reduces at lower powers so much so that at idling, turbo contribution is 0%. But the key is to think of Turbo Charger as a separate engine. One that share...
