does any gurus have even the speculative figures about radar range etc.. in all articles there is nothing about BVR missiles, radar range...it will be part of FOC though; but it should be confirm to ensure the timeline of FOC...

Also, I wonder to what extent IAF expects the TOT?? I believe they want a complete technology of AESA also. I mean the technologies of all the parts that come with the fighter. Though i haven't read teh RFI for MRCA.. :D but IMO, AESA is not part of the Must requirements... cause before 2-3 months ...

IMO we should stick to ELTA and work with them on a high power and modified version of the EL-2052 AESA for the LCA mk-2, we have a good working relationship with them and full-tot wont be a problem. Being able to track 64 targets etc is nice to have. The EL-2052's max. detection range is also very...

I think due to LCA experience our agencies are fully capable of designing AMCA, the only area where they can be in trouble would be Radar, Avionics, RWR, IRST + Engine. So better to join the radar program where some experienced company is beginning a new one for itself, like EADS working on GaN bas...

I am not really particular about AESA for LCA at this stage. Any darn radar that can detect a paki F-16 before he detects us, and manages a BVR shot would do. The Russians have yet to develop a mature AESA system where as the Americans have already configured their radars to act as microwave weapons. Is the Zhuk radar we are being offered on the Mig-35 not operational/mature yet then? it has to be mature by a great amount...atleast 2200 Trx modules...to ...

well the GE EDE was ground tested allready in 2006 and its core developement was funded by USN and GE EPE requires an export customer lunch. The EDE is then modified with a new fan which delivers more thrust. If we fund it we could use that leverage to make it here locally and when the current USN ...
