Also logistically, if bulk of ur mig29 go out in 30s then wud it make sense to maintain 21 odd 29s well into 40s? Whatever we get now has to be logistically supported into the 40s. Question is what is lowest hanging fruit in terms of time and money because Tejas are not coming at the rate we wanted.

Going by the length of those ATGM canisters, the missile is about 1.2 mtrs long. That missile is <20kgs in weight. Very interesting.

Is the nose diameter of Mk1A and Mk2 the same? Actually, the nose diameter of the Mk1A and Mk2 are relatively similar. The radome of the Mk2 is smaller. 300 kg of ballast was used when there was no radar.

With IFR probe, radar etc. that number is around 100 kgs now.

I think there is an ATGM with 105mm diameter in the making.

We have seen this seeker with a lens diameter of 100mm before.

They have not delayed. Aug22 was and continues to be the roll-out date. 6-8 months from rollout to first flight is typical.
