We are building a AF which has trainers from the Swiss , Advanced Trainers from the British , Fighters from Russia and France , Transports from The US..Upgrades from Isreal .... Zero Foresight in capability building ...they just blame everything on HAL ...Wtf !!!

I have a feeling that modern day SAM's will completely change the air warfare ...and the way it is looked..only when a competent and well equipped AD force meets its adversary ..not US vs IRAQ stuff !! ..put as S-300 battery in the above picture ..and i will put my all my money on it !!

^^^ I was expecting to read news on the indigenous IIR seeker but it was a pleasant surprise to read that it was the mmW seeker. Good that it has been tested at 2km range. They have tested it in the LOBL mode, will be interesting to see it tested on LOAL mode that would pave the way for HELINA test...

funny question, there is no ironclad guarantee that getting a lock on will result in a successful shot, I know that's what hollywood propagates but it's not how it happens in real life. more often than not it would depend on whether the aircraft 'cooperates' and stays within the kill zone of the SA...

What are the chances of SU-30 or any IAF aircraft against S-300 ....the missiles as per wiki attain a speed of 2.5-8.5 mach ..as compared to max speed of a fighter which in best case can be 2+ Mach ??

Well..Vats..I had chat to three serving JWO's serving in IAF ..all of them my school friend's fathers+ 1 friend who is again in IAF ...all of them agreed that ..yes...a partiality exists in IAF flavoring pilots IN EVERY aspect of their policies...referring to hashimara ..they told me what they knew ...
