Re: LCA News and Discussions
It is wrong to say LCA program was late by decade(s). Looking at the infrastructure this country had when this program started and time it takes to build it, LCA was late at most by 4-5 years. And we should all be very proud of what is built . I am sure this sentiment is not new and has been many a...

A question for the gurus - Can we have 4 pylons in each wing area of Tejas??? Since in todays scenario total 7 hardpoints is very less I think. What !! you want Tejas to be a Su - 30 MKI ? Remember, Tejas is a Light Combat Aircraft. Any aircraft would loose its Agility if it is loaded more. If Teja...

How come a twin engined Mig 35 is cheaper than both F 16 and Gripen which are single engined....Adding another engine seems to bring the price down!!! Are we gonna pay later like we did for Gorshkov??? No, we should not add another type to IAF's inventory. IAF is already running a circus show. IAF should try to keep its fleet manageable. We should reduce the number of types. Thats why I am saying S-35BM has 80% commonality with SU-30MKI. This is not entirely new type of aircraft. Its a better ver...

cross-posting from Keypub forums. confirms that the twin seater Bort 967 was a modification of a serial built Bort 947 MiG-29 KUB. so the whole talk about 11 hardpoints on the MiG-35 is likely to just stay that- talk. We should not procure Su-30MKI in that large number; better go for Su-35MKI - That will give us an edge parallel to MRCA. There is no Su-35 MKI.
