Re: Pakistan arms sales, ops, doctrine, etc
Pakistan reeling in economy and pathetic infrastructure public hygiene and law and order and yet putting majority% of its brains and wealth in military means only one thing:its NOT a question of if but WHEN it will unleash its TNWs and full military might under Chinese umbrella on India

Re: Kaveri & aero-engine discussion
Hmm...all the news about kaveri being wound up seems more like a strategy to keep the engine development away from the snooping media, auditors and parliamentary committee glare. Its too important a project to be shelved that too after the engine actually fructified and works albeit at a lower thrus...

Why worry about jokers like Praveen Swamy and corrupt Congress? Now patriots are in power and that's what matters that now patriots call the shots

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
I remember when I had introduced this topic at this forum, there were a lot of howls of protest and ridicule at the idea of Pakistani short conventional overt war (Pakistani cold start) backed by Chinese covert war (Chinese threat but not active support) with no nuclear exchange. I am thankful to th...

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
Mr Shiv, as I have said in my previous post, the hypothesis "Pakistani cold start doctrine backed by Chinese blackmail captures Kashmir valley" is my original idea ! Obviously, to get this original idea one has to think out of the one dimensional civilian box and take a different viewpoint...

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
Mr Shiv, the taunt in your earlier posts at me remind me of that Indian General who ignored his junior's suggestion that the Pakistanis can intrude from Kargil. The war we are fighting with Pakistan and China on the subsurface level needs only one motto JAI HIND. We are not God and dont want to beco...

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
Pakistan conducted the exercise to counter Indian cold war start doctrine. Thats what the intention of the extract was from Maj Gen Dhruv (and also from Mr Ali Ahmed and an indirect reference to Mr Rajat Pandit). The rest article from which Mr Shiv is quoting is the analysis/opinion of Maj Gen Dhruv...

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
Thats the whole problem my friend. We civilians think only in one dimension. Having a threatening China on the north and north east will be a game changer. To counter this double game we need to be adequatley modernised and well equiped which (as pointed out in my previous posts and the existing fac...

IDSA COMMENT The message from mock battles Ali Ahmed May 7, 2010 The well-informed military watcher for Times of India, Rajat Pandit, titled his piece on Pakistan’s recently concluded Azm e Nau III military exercise as ‘Pak wargames to blunt India’s strategy’. This was only to be expected. Pakistan’...

Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
Paksitan with aid of China has used the nuclear shield as a deterrence against massive conventional Indian retaliation. Re: Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
We need to honestly look at the current situation. We have LOST PoK, we have LOST Askai-Chin, we have lost large swathes of territories adjoining Tibet and NE and our large part of our county (around 50percent of the declared districts) suffer from insurgency by Maoists and NE (supported by Chinese)...

Are We Ready for a Two-front War ?
A realistic scenario is Pakistan intiating a limited war against India most likely in the Kashmir valley by combined air and ground assault and labelling it as a reaction to Indian border adventurism. US will ask India to exercise restraint while it tries to make Pakistan see reason. China insists o...
