i think that IAF should adopt SATCOM, DIRCM, towed decoys across the whole fleet so that we are not caught with our pants down in Kargill type situation again. I think there is sorely lacking sense of urgency for any these equipment.

Almost 95% cost of a Tank is in its engine power pack, gun & ammo, FCS, Armour technology. Hence Arjun technology can easily be used to build multiple variants like 4 men crew, 3 men crew for western border and 2 men crew and say even One man crew for eastern border.

Can a guru write a short explanation about various imp semi conductor products and tech required for manufacturing them, for layperson like me. For instance what is tech required for things like micropocessors, memory chips, CMOS, MEMS, detectors, VLSI, ASICs and the hell are these things?

The fact is that there is 6-18 months delay in FoC. But if the production order is of 20+20+6 LCA Mark-1 is not subject to FoC then there would be no delay in overall scheme of things.

I think that people here are confusing seeker with detector/sensor array. Seeker refers to full assembly including glass dome, cryo cooler, electronics Plus detector/sensor array. So DRDO has been making seekers with imported detector/sensor array.

Turbofan and Turboprop aircraft based on similar layout has been dropped long time back. Now the new Plan was NCA with conventional layout while turboprop civilian version is dropped completely.
