i read somewhere from a pilot comparing airshow performance of rafale and EF.it said rafale felt very light and nimble and EF ,OTOH felt more similar to F15 ,although at times it was able to point its nose quicker. it was on the rafale news on keypublishing : http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showth...

oh absolutely love the rafale display!!! 8) the EF has more noise and bustling storming 'presence' in airshows though. it was stunning in AI-11 flying at treetop level over the highway , something the rafale chose not to do and remain higher. i read somewhere from a pilot comparing airshow performan...

constructive criticism should be welcome no matter it is JSF or Raptor. If pak-fa can beat a raptor, then it beats JSF is my thought, of course I have not looked at special mission aspects that JSF and its variants are built for (example naval vtol version, that I am sure will take ages for us to b...

AFAIK the follow on option was for 3 more phalcons.the fact that only two of those were ordered might signify that IAF is interested in opting for a new platform bigger than the embraer for large field AWACS mainly because of the lack of spares and support for the IL76 fleet.just my 2 nayapaisa.

there was a discussion in rafale forums a while back about AASM125.it cited that the Armée de l'Air wasnt interested in the 125 version and preferred AASM250 and AASM1000(under development).

AFAIK only the 40 aircrafts recently ordered would be capable of carrying the brahmos rendering other 230 odd without an effective standoff LACM.can argue that 40 aircrafts are more than enough to carry out the required strike roles, maybe the IAF has much bigger plans for rambhas.it might even be po...

for lock on before launch mode the IR seeker of the missile acquires the target , not the radar.you can actually go the other way around, use the IR seeker of the missile to track a target.AFAIK thats why the french are considering dropping the IR band from their OSF NG and use MICA's IR instead.
