Re: Malaysian Airlines Flight MH-370 goes missing
Guys relax. The malay PM said that the plane could have done either north or south after leaving Straits of Malacca. If it went north it could have reached till Kazakhstan and if south then till southern Indian Ocean. Somehow they are narrowing down to these two vertical zones. They are not even sur...

Re: AMCA News and Discussions
It is a bit painful to see people who do not have a clear picture of IIT's, commenting on IITs and IITians all the time. Most of top IITians go for research even when they are offered great paying jobs by Google and MS. The problem is not only money it is more of recognition and opportunities. Most ...

With 1 USD = INR 54
203000 crore = $37.9 Billion ; majority of expenditure is in INR so cannot compare just USD only.

Re: China Military Watch - Jan 11, 2011
Mr Wong , Chinese as in Chinese-American refers to Chinese ethnicity and not PRC citizenship. There are lots of Chinese-Americans who would rather wish the end of PRC as such and all CCP polit bureau members put in jail. I also know a lot of Chinese decent people who cannot go back to their own coun...

Re: Indian Space Program Discussion
Actually in IIT kgp we had a "Kalpana Chawla Space research center" with direct involvement with ISRO. Though as an earth scientist I agree it is much easier for met o get data from NASA/JPL than ISRO satellites. Earth sciences is pretty undeveloped in Indian Universities and except for a ...

^^ Cannot agree more with you. Internet is a huge catalyst in this. Even though the CCP invests tens of Billions to prevent its population from getting "free and fair" information and force them to stay in "chinternet", it is not being very successful. People are discovering that...

Saar .. I am a graduate from IIT kgp . a bunch of my friends joined HAL , MDL , NTPC , BHEL , DRDO etc. in 2009 when we graduated and now most of them have either left the companies or are eager to leave it .. not because the salary is less ( which is actually pretty good for IITians) but because th...

Re: China Military Watch - Jan 11, 2011
These articles are mainly for domestic consumption. The party needs to justify its iron grip on the society and it makes up all these imaginary threats from US, Japan, India, SE Asia and everywhere. The people are mostly brainwashed and agree to it but you know slowly things are changing with intern...
