^they could have had stronger than expected head winds. There was an incident with Qantas a380 from sin-syd that almost ran out of fuel and had to divert to adl. Even though they were carrying extra fuel and the reason given was "stronger than expected head winds".

IMO India should be in a good position, if Spain and Italy want to reduce their involvement in the program and offer India a good role, the French would sense this and make a better offer.

Either way IAF will be able to get a great deal.

The Chinese are already doing this by providing aid and other development projects but of course it's mainly Chinese workers coming in and working in on the projects. In return all these small countries support China at the UN.

Well, Turkey has good relations with Israel, economically and militarily they were strained last year of course with the Gaza issue.

Let's see if the Islamic folks will be happy with an allegiance with Turkey that has good relations with a Jewish state.

US has used gunships since the Vietnam war and other smaller conflicts such as Grenada to provide close support for troops and also for anti tank roles. Qantas have been using or still use airbus 330 between syd/Mel and Perth. Now they are introducing 747s on this route esp to attract more business travelers with their skybeds.

Please correct me if i am wrong but I thought that IndiGo order was done a few months ago. There is news today that Air Asia has ordered 200 of these aircraft.
