Re: LCA News and Discussions

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried submitting my well thought out designs via email but they responded with a polite email saying they had an aero engg background and were happy with what they had, and that perhaps Mattel might want my paper planes' designs. Somewhere somehow I think one thing. It se...

Re: Indian Military Aviation

Why not IAF starts a design bureau ? Like "Airforce Institute of Aircraft design" and it should be of same standard as IITs

Re: LCA News and Discussions

I am disappointed to see a section "Careers" on the tejas site ;)

And seriously some section

1. Submit your "Tejas" ( Where we can submit our design )
2. Tejas wish list ( What you want Tejas to become )

Re: LCA News and Discussions

it's 98 kN F414, I don't know where the 120 kN rumour is coming from. the EPE was never mentioned wrt tejas AFAIK. p.s. never trust wiki without confirmation. Check this link http://www.geae.com/aboutgeae/presscenter/military/military_20101001.html It says "The F414-GE-INS6 is the highest-thru...

Re: LCA News and Discussions

FUTURE DEVELOPMENT Tejas Mark 2 - Featuring more powerful General Electric F414-GE-INS6 engine with 98Kn thrust and refined aerodynamics. The Mark 2 is being developed to meet the Indian Air Staff requirements. What are specification of the engine ? 98KN is max thrust ? I read from wikipedia that i...

Re: LCH and other Helicopters Discussion Thread

But relative to its empty weight 870 KW should more than sufficient? I am more inclined to believe its design not the engine that's limiting factor when it comes to its speed. Yes design + specifications, such as max take off weight. The maximum speed is calculated with max weight in consideration....

Re: LCH and other Helicopters Discussion Thread

ALL is good But here is a thing to worry about.According to graphics the service ceiling of LCH is same as that Of apache but the speed is much slower.Infact LCH is the slowest of all the attack helicopters. For a heli like LCH the max speed should be more than 300 km/hr That is because of the power...

One thing comes to my mind. There is still some time for LCA MK2. Why not to bargain an AESA for Tejas MK II ?
The one who offers AESA for Tejas MK II, will be given preference. By that I mean, full TOT, no hidden things, just as full wish for us.

I hope this is read by someone in EADS or Dassault

Re: Indian Military Aviation

One suggestion, why not do this.
I can listen and sense from this NDTV interview, PV Naik is a great asset to India. Lets make him HAL chief for next 5 years.

Well nothing goes bad in trying .He has vision and also he is so much clear in his thoughts.

Re: Indian Military Aviation

Well, I think having a single person from a single institute will not give us anything. I think best would be to have something like "Board of directors" kind of thing. For example HAL will have 5 board of directors ( numbers can vary ) 1. Regular one 2. One from IAF 3. One from Navy 4. On...
