It seems to be the Agni II with the second stage removed (Agni II- ?).
It's interesting how no public source was able to conceive of, let alone predict, the development of this version.
Compare this missile with China's M-9.

The article was hysterically funny! But it did clear up the HJT-36 pricing issue. Rs 19 crore =/= $15 million, that's for sure. The HJT-36 is apparently in the $4-5 million range.

What's interesting is that the Onyx/Yakhont appears to be derived from the SS-N-7 (at least according to FAS). What an interesting coincidence! That's probably the nose cover ejecting to reveal the nose intake that will allow air to flow to the ramjet. This lends support to the PJ-10 = Yahkont theory. The missile does resemble the Yakhont in Vishnu's clips.

Re: News, Reports and Analysis: LCA

The potential market for the LCA includes all the MiG-21 and F-7 customers who can't afford F-16s, Mirage 2000-5s and Gripens. That certainly rules out the wealthier E and SE Asian countries. Vikram's idea about Iran is very good.
I would be concerned about product support if I were buying an Indi...

The Aviation Week cover story on the IAF a few years ago said that 315 Paveway II laser kits had been ordered. So we have a minimum of 315 laser guided bombs.
