Re: Indian Space Programme Discussion

Any information on how much we charged for launching these 5 satellites, especially SPOT-7, and how does that compare with satellite launch rates by some of the competing organisations?

It is also a little strange to me that we did not have any payload of our own in this mission.

The massive ego of Preet Bharara & Co. and SD officials involved in this fiasco means you may see indictments coming. Which can only be good.

Re: GSLV-D5 Launch status and post launch discussions

Congratulations to ISRO - the pride of our nation. They keep raising the bar as ever. I would expect ISRO to work at perfecting the GSLV - a la PSLV - before undertaking any major enhancement. Nothing succeeds like success. On the sides, i often wonder why we keep GSLV discussion thread in this foru...

Re: Breaking News - Osama Bin Laden - killed In Pakistan

US and Pakistan were never allies. US and Pakistan relationship, be it the Soviet-era in Afghanistan or post 9/11, is about being a team - a team formed due to mutual convenience and dependencies - convenience for US and dependency for Pakistan. Don't mistake the whole "war on terror" and ...

Re: Breaking News - Osama Bin Laden - killed In Pakistan

If ISI-Military Nexus got caught pants down, it has more to do with a sense of complacence that they developed overtime thanks to the perceived or actual stupidy of their CIA counterparts. 1. It took close to 10 years for CIA to know what ever other intelligence agency worth its name in the world al...

A belated Congratulations to the ISRO team and all involved (i just managed to login to my account with quite a liberal assistance from Jagan, thank you Saar). May they keep improving upon the perfection.

May i declare this to be the most flawless execution of any lunar mission ever?

"TaTaTaTa! Feelin' Groovy"

It is not so good a sight to see a former formidable (and reasonable at times) postor relegating himself to the role of a clown.

Re: India's Inspirational Personalities

Sandeep, Any other source apart from the "History of the Sikhs" of Khuswant Singh? Your above citations seem to be inherently biased and with inconsistencies. Or to put it more appropriately, it seems like a narrative as viewed from the prism of a "sikh" and definitely not from a historian. Anyways,...

Yeah, Admins had better come out with some numbers/figures.

I am interested too. :)

P.S: I am still searching for an answer to Indianness. Maybe i'll get one, once the India-WI cricket series gets over.
