IMHO, I expect the rate to be capped at 18% for all Goods and services, before the next General Elections. That would be sensible. Higher taxes provide incentives for avoidance. CPEC is really a strategic move and not a financial move.

The port serves as a naval base and the roads and infra are simply land acquisition akin to what happened to Hong Kong. As the defaults star rolling in, Pakistan will pay with land.
