Re: Newbie Corner & Military Miscellaneous

And Shiv was the first arm chair General who led BR in the 1971 war. During those Liberation times, he was wounded and awarded the Param chair on which he sits while giving gyan. I guess this explains why he dropped out as a dentist!! and this Param Chair, does it have holes for farting while posti...

Re: LCA News and Discussions

I think the good Col. has misunderstood the TP a little. AFAIK the Mk1 intake itself is enough for the current airflow requirements. a higher thrust engine for Mk2 would likely have higher airflow requirements and might necessitate a larger intake, at least that's the opinion of one informed friend...

If i am not mistaken the Kaveri has more thrust than the older modeled F404 engine currently in the test variants of the Tejas? Typhoon ? I already gave you the data on the Rafale which is in the range of 20-29 degs max AoA only, whi...

For one let us not believe the TVC would increase the turn rate at a given speed. It will certainly let you do the turn much slowly and hence your radius of turn will be smaller. Tejas has a corner velocity where it has its best turn rate and best turn radius, i just hope its not too wide? TVC woul...

landing gears are tested on the ground to the limit loads. They do drop tests and they do a static strength test as well to ultimate loads.
