Re: Tracking India's Admission into International Groups
I am inclined to bet otherwise, not that I want to. I do not think chinese are really opposing because they are interested in Pakistan's membership. Thats a smokescreen because they know fairly well that Pakistan has no hope in hell to make it to NSG. I believe they are fairly rattled with Arihant /...

It wasnt so great. Some comments which were so plain stupid that I wouldnt even put them on this forum. There's a bunch of interesting stuff here: BBC: India Season Interesting visit to Mohenjodaro and the temples of Tamil Nadu by Dr Sona Datta; and a couple of documentaries on Indian wildlife featu...

Re: Sunni Terrorist Fragments of Unstable Pakistan-Sept 05,
Do the pakis pay back the money invested in those bonds, or do they try further tricks like giving back partially, or asking the investor to further invest in the upcoming scheme or some such ponzi scheme? Gagan-ji My understanding of the "500 Million Euro Bond " issue, is that there is g...

Disaster & worst possible outcome if its true. :( Foreign exchange goes anyway with no addition to Indian industry. No TOT whatsoever. Wait till the time comes for upgrade and India shall pay double for an upgrade. So much for the Gujju negotiating skills. No job or skill addition in India...

Re: Indo-UK News and Discussion - April 2013
Not sure how much you know about Alex Salmond. Do not see any similarities between him and Kejriwal. He is known to be the smartest politician in UK. He has brought SNP from having minimal presence to the single largest party, forming the Govt in Scotland. When the referendum was agreed by David Cam...

Re: Indo-UK News and Discussion - April 2013
Reporting from the frontline sir. My view - its not going to happen. Its neck and neck at the moment. But the Ayes are still trailing and unlikely to see a big swing in their favor from here. Better together ran an extremely negative scare mongering campaign. Middle class is going for Y while top an...

Picklu saar, why not take pictures and mail them to railway minister or put them on facebook? Maybe they need to be made aware and issues highlighted in social media, forcing them to get their act together in the process. Saik, actually my observation tells me that the single most important factor t...

Re: Indian Military Aviation- September 29 2013
There was an article in the national daily around the time VKS's BJP candidature was declared. It claimed BJP sources saying that there was no chance VKS would be made DM if NDA comes to power. Forces have their share of cunning/smart officer-babus who can teach their civvy cousins a thing or two. T...

Re: India-US Strategic News and Discussion
For the Indian diaspora, I truly believe that we can be useful by adopting the strategy of Israel and the Jewish diaspora with a very strong PAC with plenty of $$$. Nothing else is going to work. Only $$$ and political contributions talk. Goodwill, shared vision, share values, blah blah, and everyt...

Re: Internal Security Watch
Something I said to my folk half an hour ago. If they still dont vote to a single party, they are politically dispensable and deserve the Darwin's award. Not voting for Namajwadi wont help. There are lot of parties that split hindu votes - RLD, BSP, Congress, SP, BJP while Muslims vote en-mass. If h...

The shopkeeper's association has been on strike for 5 days now to get this SP removed. Shops have downed shutters for 5th day today. The Govt has shown no desire to remove him. Somehow the alacrity during Durga Shakti episode comes to mind. In adjoining district of Shamli, RoPers went on rampage, lo...

Just spoke to my folk in that area. They say unofficial toll could be ~400 as the bodies are in gang nahar still and have not been pulled out yet. These were the jat farmers coming back from the panchayat when they were ambushed. The administration has been strictly told to make sure the ROP is not ...

The place is Muzaffarnagar in Western UP and not Muzaffarpur as in Bihar. Its about 20 miles from Darul Uloom Deoband. Lot of ROP here.

21 dead in violence (as per undie TV) and the toll seems to be rising inspite of presence of Army.
What is the ground situation ?
