I think India has more operating, planned, and proposed nuclear reactors than the PRC. China has been developing the PBR (Pebble Bed Reactor) which is guaranteed to be safe. Take away the coolant, it the reaction stops. There's no chance of a catastrophic meltdown. The US public is strictly against...

I know this may sound stupid, but can anyone tell me why they use "operation" in Hindi on the medal? Isn't there a Hindi word ("sangharsh", "abhiyan" or something) that fits better? :-? :-? :-?

Moral of the story

He recalled: "ZA Bhutto, with his political wisdom, saved 90,000 Pakistani POWs but was later hanged by the military. The same happened with Nawaz after 27 years. Nawaz went to US risking the negative fallout but saved the military honor that was under serious danger because of Indian threats&...

But isn't there a cease-fire on the LOC? I assume there are no daily arty barrages. Why not just walk up and seize the point, and build some solid bunkers?

This article does not mention that IA retook the peak.

This begs the question, why didn't IA retake the peak? If the Paki rats were gone, what prevented them?

The answer, to my feeble brain, is that there was no need to, since 5353 is already in Indian hands.

That buggy was mentioned in Ashok Mehta in his little article. In desert environs, such a vehicle is a must for the SF.
