Re: Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft: News & Discussion - 30 August 2019
I actually think there is merit in giving HAL another order of Su-30 MKI to raise another extra squadron or so and product attrition reserves. Su-57 must be purchased off the shelf or given to HAL to do some minor integration screw drivergiri. That will keep them busy along with Tejas Mk2 and Mk1a....

I agree we should have never purchased them for the army. But since we did 6 is the most stupidest of the number. Full Squadron at 12 or 16 Oh no, glad its only a billion down the drain and not 4 billion. That would have killed the 156 LCH program. Yeah good point, I can't argue against that. Still...

Is this a Fair Question to ask ? If we start building the FGFA then AMCA is still born ? Or Does the building of FGFA at HAL enable the transfer of some technologies to the private entities that ADA/ DRDO cannot produce at this very moment. My take and hence why I asked this because I am self doubti...

Best news ever.
If Necessity was the mother of invention then
competition was the father of improvement and acceleration.
HAL has plenty of cook and bite on.
Tejas Mk1a
Tejas Mk2
Su-30 MKI (attrition replacements)
Su-30 MKI Mark 2 Upgrade
Possibly Su-57 Integration if Not manufacture.

Buy the Su-57 X 2 Squadrons and have them stand toe to toe with the J35 and get this tamasha over it.. Buy all the Rafale outright from the French. Start Building Tejas Mk 2 Start Building AMCA Prototypes now. Start working on the engine strategy. What are we doing ? GE, our Own, Joint with Safran.
