The whole region has history of very high crime rate, it has nothing to do Afghans studying over there.
However, i do agree that having good relations does not mean that we open our houses to let them stay in.

Meerut has seen a big rise in crime because of these Afghans. They are everywhere now. They are also very active in the growing heroin trade and prostitution in the town. They are just like Pakis when they settle in Kufr lands.

One side effect of the having RS as Home Minister, is that they cannot take out the Internal security from Home ministry. Probably would have made Rajnath felt low :-o
