a few advance elements of Rainas II Corps were shifting frontlines when the ceasefire came in 71. Therefore its quite possible that a good number of army personnel from that corps had the dual campaign medals of 71

They are the 25th Anniv medal and the 50th Anniv medal.

You know what else is unusual?

The bloke has been around since 1971 and he is not wearing his 9 years service, 20 years service or 30 years service medal.

the Oval badge is definitely the COAS commendation. and the Diver badge is unmistakable If thats the balidan badge, then its the first time i am seeing it being worn on the LEFT pocket. usually the balidan dagger is worn on the RIGHT pocket. there are fairly strict Indian Government rules which prohibit Indian armed forces personnel from serving operationally Just wanted to know, Though the above may be on paper correct, What makes us sure that there could not have been one or two unofficial sorties undertaken by Indian pilots in Iraq?...
