Re: Pakistan arms sales, ops, doctrine, etc
lack of knowledge has never prevented me from confidently ranting on any topic, so here is my take on the PAF/Paks war strategy. 1. they would not go for a 1st strike proactively on india - conventional or nuclear as it would give us an excuse to throw the kitchen sink and deny sympathy from the fa...

Liu, on your part, stop trying to demotivate a poster who actually travelled to China. We want to hear him, even if he just pooped in Chengdu's transit lounge and got back in the flight Hnairji I may have conveyed the wrong impression here - I spent 2 weeks in China. Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and...

Re: PRC Economy - New Reflections : Dec 15 2011
I am not sure about individual freedoms. I could access neither Facebook nor Twitter in a five star hotel in Beijing. Emails and chat messengers worked just fine. Reddit opened after a long time and that too as a text only page. Censorship in China is not in your face but its presence can definitely...

Re: Rafale & MMRCA News and Discussions-9 August, 2014
Parliamentary committee on defence says that the IAF have only 25 effective sqds operational. The GOI/MOD should allot a figure that they can give the IAF and ask it to come up with alternative options to the Rafale/prepare their own options. I recently spoke with my father a senior IAF veteran. He...

Re: Breaking news: Coast guard intercepted terrorist boat
Perhaps the boat was carrying a novel explosive device unknown yet to the Indian security agencies or a really high value target. Either way cargo which could not be compromised to the Indian state. So the handlers in Pakistan ordered the boat to destroy itself rather than get caught.

Re: Understanding Islamic Society
johneeG garu, Ramsay and Theon scenes were some of the most impressive writing and portrayal that I have watched in Game of Thrones. It is perhaps a vivid display of an extreme Stockholm Syndrome, where one's psyche has been completely destroyed and restructured. Humiliation of other faiths and soc...

Re: The Mughal Era in India
THE DETERMINANTS OF HINDU DEFEATS It is true that Hindus resisted Islamic imperialism for a long time, and overcame it in the long run. But it would be foolish to forget that their failure for a long time in the face of an enemy with whom they had become familiar pretty soon, was of frightening prop...
