@maitya from your chart it is clear that basic parameters and 1st order derivatives of current kaveri and ganga are same. so i assume ganga is derivative of kaveri. in such case how will they achieve 100MW work and 88kN dry thrust while current engine does not achieve original design values of 96MW ...

i would rather say the grey assembly is the reactor. i am not sure if the green part is propeller shaft assembly but to me it seems unlikely. it should be the turbine. let me support my theory. first, if you are developing reactor, you dont need to install shaft at test location. only turbine is suf...

i am little surprised that nobody mentioned following things wrt new glide bomb: (or i am really silly.)
1. many people mentioned targeting terrorists in pak, pok etc but nobody mentioned mountains in north east is better reachable now.
2. its 1000kg so can be nuclear weapon also.

Right Singha. That location is very much sufficient to target china and pakistan. At least for next 10 years we dont need to target anyone else. Given that this is our first try there is nothing wrong. The author of the article is unnecessarily being negative.

nileshjr,
that may not be entirely true. yes for initial iterations one would prefer tried and tested components then change to state of the art ones. e.g agni 4,5 uses ring laser gyro where 1,2, 3(not sure about 3) dont.
