Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

That makes eminent sense. The cowards came to conduct a surprise dawn raid on the ITBP camp a short distance away (may have intended to break down some buildings etc), but were themselves surprised and surrounded. So in their frustration, which makes total sense to anyone who has dealt with chinese ...

Re: Latest Chinese boast: should we shiver or die laughing?

Indian response so far has been classic Vedantic. I hope when the time comes, the leadership will heed the advice that Arjuna received, and do their jobs without hesitation. I am tired of reading SunTzu cra*.

But you have to hand it to their Foleign Pubric Lerations Division, who came up with that Grobal Climes video. SUCH suavity, such sophistication!!! Plus it got free worldwide publicity for the India2day animated cartoon. BRILLIANT! :rotfl:

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

So, the Authoritative Summary of the Pangong Tso Incident from UBC News and Analysis is in. 1. Chinese came sneaking in (as they always do) near an ITBP camp in the dawn hours, carrying iron rods to launch surprise attack on sleeping unarmed policemen who were in their white pajamas. 2. As usual, Ch...

Did anyone else notice the part of the announcement which said the Chinese actually came ashore there because they got LOST in bad weather? Weather did not look bad at the time, but may have been overnight. Clueless ppl.

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

The left/top are chinese, and they withdraw after the fight. I think their read banner carrier had come far under the ledge, and ran back. The kick was a soosai measure to dislodge our guy who was being quite effective with stones from a high point. Yeah, one of ours got hit on the head. I didn't se...

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

Ok! (buggers get up early in the morning to create trouble, hain?) So shadows are from east to west. Then the video is shot from the north (thx snahata, my madarssa math is messed up as usual). Lake to the south. Anyway local terrain may be very jagged, no telling where the water might be.

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

Incident was reported to have occurred on North Bank of lake. Video from north looking south, which makes sense. Then shadows are pointing east. So evening.
If India holds north shore then it is well inside Indian side of LAC (vertical, western, leg of the L-shaped lake).

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

Look at the long shadows. Either early morning or late afternoon. And it is summer so sun was approx at zenith in trajectory. So per my Madarssa Ass-tronomey: 1. Assume late evening because why would cheens wake up so early? Probably intended to set up camp overnight. 2. Then sun will be in west. Sh...

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

Well... in this case the Indian soldiers gave a good account of themselves and sent the chinese pak-ing, but I wish the commander had stationed several soldiers on the high ground from where the video was taken. Anyway, from now on it looks like stone-pelting should be expected, unless the local com...

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

A soldier sneaked up from the left under the ledge and kicked the soldier who was till then throwing very well, but the kicked soldier stayed on his feet, he just went away a bit and resumed fighting. The red banner holder had come deep, and then ran back to his side. Then a soldier went down as if ...

Re: India - South & North Korea Thread

If 95% trade is with China (figures given by GOI when bullied to impose "sanctions"), NoKo is for all intents and purposes a Chinese state. Unfortunately only US (or US-Russia if there were any sense in DupleeCity to enlist Russian help) can defang NoKo. Right now, main Russian interest wi...

Re: Neutering & defeating Chinese Threat (09-08-2014)

Not so easy. Lake is in the shape of an L, with the horizontal part MUCH longer than vertical part. The incident occurred on "north shore". The LAC is well to the east of the vertical part (so both shores are inside India there) but then there is another LAC vertically down the horizontal ...

Which is precisely Eleven's problem. If the Indian passive resistance mode succeeds in thwarting Chinese encroachment tactics against Bhutan, then other nations will also start doing the same, with security support from the US and maybe even India. I can imagine Japan, Indonesia and others simply se...

Perhaps it is time to focus a thread on the liberation of North Dharmasala and East Turkmenistan (real name of Xinjiang). 15 years ago when we started the Baluchistan thread there was not much hope there, but today a free Baluchistan is beginning to look quite real. Same with North Dharmasala and Ea...

Interesting about Bannon. Saturday Night Live will sorely miss him. But Bannon was arguing an unsustainable line. On the one hand he wanted punitive trade measures against China, but OTOH he was throwing in the towel on countering NoKo militarily, saying China had already won that and NoKo would be ...

Helprin for all his grand words, is arguing for an expensive and useless arms race, but still capitulating to a nuclear-armed NoKo and an arrogant China.
The only way to a US victory is to destroy the NoKo regime using massive force.

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV

NoKo's loss is China's loss. No 2 ways about it. All these years, the POTUS always backed off because of fear of Red China. Trump needs to get over that, so India's describing NoKo as Threat #1 is quite right: because it is China that is behind it.

Apparently the SAA crossed the Euphrates and hit the ISIS at Saker Island near D-e-Z. Looking at the map, Saker island is a big place (as big as D-e-z city) bounded by the full Euphrates on the north/east side and a small channel going around it on the south/west to south/east. If the SAA takes Sake...

Sorry to flood the thread with those, but it is essential to remind people here of the realities of China. They are not some sort of super-race: just a huge number of people driven by a tyrannical bunch of thieves. By now, with One-Brat Policy, reduced to a nation of automatons.
