Not relevant to any recent discussion. I was going through old lca posts and found this. Nice intuition by Austin. Re: Should we discontinue EVMs?

This all looks like a ploy to get more people to vote. Opposition best bet is to make up stories that govt cannot be trusted and get people out of their houses on voting day. Throw a ton of stuff out to confuse the voter and not let them hear the government's message.

Contrast the cnn and BBC reports with The Hindu. Not one mention of missionary or proselytizing. They even changed the official's quote to describe the guy as an adventurer. The paper is trying hard not to be their namesake.

Key aspects of a smart city - from IBM For me the biggest need is the utility services. They must use the funds to improve sewage treatment, recycling, underground drainage, garbage disposal. A clean city would lead to smarter citizens :) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DKBZorZWAAA-MQa.jpg

There are tons of villages between Suknah and Deir ezzor. It will be a while until the army gets there. Maybe a month or more.

I just noticed not even half the deir ezzor town is with Assad. They seem to be holding just the airport and a tiny bit to the west.
