AV reports today on Youtube that DRDO has developed Thermal Imaging Sights for T72 and T90 tanks. These are better then the currently installed ones. It seems we have a precedent

Surveyor 4 was the fourth lunar lander in the American uncrewed Surveyor program sent to explore the surface of the Moon. This spacecraft crashed after an otherwise flawless mission; telemetry contact was lost 2.5 minutes before touchdown.

This is Mission Control Centre. #VikramLander descent was as planned and normal performance was observed up to an altitude of 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication from Lander to the ground stations was lost. Data is being analyzed.

BDA was done and stood up to their expectations. They will not reveal ,how they reached to the conclusion that the pgms indeed hit bullseye. Not really, the primary planned method for the BDA to enable high visibility / high media impact feeds did not go through. The secondary means were then used....
