Some rumoured token SF order. Rest they are manufacturing small periodic orders of Tavor and X95 from Armed forces and CAPFs. Almost everyone in small arms segment is sitting without orders, whether they are SSS, CMT, Jindal or Kalyani.

Because the CAPFs dont act with a chip on their shoulders, don't have a messed-up procurement system & don't have a strong import lobby in their highest echelons (because the gravy train is not big enough) CAPFs purchased lot after lot after lot of Arsenal's AKMs, completely imported. TAR order...

Max figures for TNT equivalent blast rating I have seen for any mine protected vehicle is for 40 kg under axle and 20 kg under hull. Mine protected vehicles have survived larger blasts but no manufacturer will guarantee it. The 1.5 ton explosive point is moot. Look at this IED aftermath where everyo...

There are very few jobs that actually require 70+ hrs a week. Even the jobs that do require it don't require them 365 days an year. More often than not, these jobs are well compensated. We have invested massively in ammunition manufacturing facilities. We have around 480 sharang, 100 K9 and 145 m777 in service. We plan to add another 300 sharang, 100 K9, 380 ATAGS and 114 Dhanush, bare minimum in the next 5 years, excluding the mounted gun system. There is a global glut of 155mm am...

The ammunition calibre issue is in my opinion overblown. IA would be reverting to an intermediate calibre in a decade to replace 5.56x45, 7.62x39 and 7.62x51 once it wraps it's head around the logistics nightmare it has got into.

The Chinese 5.8 cartridge is slightly better than 5.56 at long ranges out of LMG. Similarly Russian 5.45 is better than 5.56 in fragmentation and tumbling. But the difference are not ground breaking.

6.8 SPC (6.8x43) and 6.8x51 (0.277 fury) are completely different rounds. 6.8 SPC is closer to 7.62x39. Anyhow, 6.8x51 round was chosen to defeat Level IV body armour. The round is quite overpowered, packing 20% more pressure than 7.62x51. Fn Herstal presented a far more reasonable solution with Ind...

Nachiket ji, 5.56x45 with a 10.3 inch barrel loses only 25% velocity compared to a full 20 inch barrel. Just having a folding ir collapsible stock won't make AK203 into a cqb weapon. The IA CQB carbine requirement is modelled after Mk 18 program rather than the M4.
