Re: Transport Aircraft for IAF

The best solution would be to get 24-36 C-130J pure cargo format planes and replace the balance AN-32s with C-295s. The C-130Js would fulfill the requirement of higher cargo carrying capacity, whenever required, as well for high altitude operations. Remember the C-130s can take off and land at DBO,...

IN tells us they need 123 NMRH in Sea King/MH-60R class then go and order just 24. With DBMRH/IMRH not even sanctioned by the GoI yet it’s surely inevitable they order more because their Sea King fleet is already hilariously outdated Yet another master stoke in planning I do hope this happens. The original cost of the Shortfin Barracuda project was about US$35B in 2016. By 2021 it had risen beyond US$90B but was being promoted as "the future of attack submarines". The fact that the Aus Navy has not operated nuclear subs does not come into it. One has to begin sometime, and they...

With the performance of Russian forces in Ukraine, I doubt they will have any more opposition to this. And if we swap out the Bars for a scaled-up Uttam AESA, I doubt the Russians would have anything to say. From the above article, I believe their main opposition lies in the Bars radar being able t...
