Guys, the luh will be purchased by the 100s. Don't get too anxious about that. The machine achieved IOC inspite of the tail rotor vibrations. That has now been fixed. It will be the next Chetak. All rotors vibrate, there were no problematic tail rotor vibrations. The TR blade was modified for addit...

The engine cowling opens downwards to become a platform for maintenance personnel to stand and work in the field. Why would you need ATGM launchers for a medium lift helo. This will be approximately in the same weight class as the Mi-17. There is no need for either the IA or the IAF to be arming these with ATGM's when they can easily buy as many LCH and Rudra as they require. The armed Mi-17's of Kargil came a...

I dont think the tender should be cancelled. Let Naval Dhruv also participate and prove itself. If it meets the specs, take it. IIRC India and Israel have been working already on a uav cheetah for the Indian Navy since 2008. It's still not flown afaik suggesting that such things are not so easy in combat conditions. A new MGB is almost a new helicopter. And it really doesn't make economic sense to Design test and operationalize one for minor performance benefits given the numbers. Its better to build a bigger heli optimised for sea level ops which is what the NMRH or the IMRH-Navy is.
