LCA MK I FOC was 6000 crores in 2010
Now, using dollar rate and tagging on USD inflation, we come to 48000 crore for 83 LCA MK1A. Hence with some improvements a price of 55000 to 60000 crores is reasonable.

I think high volume assault rifle barrels require costly machinery but low volume sniper rifle barrels require fraction of investment.

As per info slide in the Discussion panel, first flight is 2032? Though DRDO person says 7-8 years, which is 2027.

But this figure of 4 tons internal fuel has been around for long time. Anything less than 8 tons would be a disappointment

Asraam seems to have good maneuvering capabilities without TVC, Mid body fins or side firing motors. This means that future BVR missiles might be dual use as CCM + BVR.

While BVR itself will morf into VLR-BVR

Actually, purchasing silicon carbide Raw Material and sintering it into Helmets is relatively low tech.

Even new US ECH helmets offer more protection but not really bullet proof.
