Re: VayuSena Rafale: News and Discussions - 17 Oct 2016

OK, this is seriously getting silly: https://www.rediff.com/news/report/rafales-arrival-tight-security-near-ambala-air-base/20200728.htm From this article, the following: BJP's Ambala City MLA Aseem Goyal urged to people to light candles in their homes between 7-7:30 pm on Wednesday to welcome the ...

Re: India's Border Security with China and Pakistan-2020

…. There seems to be a consensus amongst former Northern Army Commanders that we were indeed caught napping. whether this is on the ITBP/MHA side, int side or MOD side is not something known yet and won't be for a while. int community folks have been repeatedly saying that they passed warning about...

Re: India's Border Security with China and Pakistan-2020

Adding another video to Srin's post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PThglIz_RFs Starting @ 3:04, the video is showing fast patrol vessels that are being moved to Pangong Tso lake. Are these the FPV types, or is it some other design? Loved the fact they called it "occupied Tibet" @ around ...

I saw it here. I don't know about the credibility of this channel. It looks like an online version of IDRW. But, there is an update everyday, the jingo in me needs such steroids and Youtube obediently puts it in my recommended list ... so watching it for the past few months :D ... Wow, beautifully ...

~$28 million a pop including simulators and equipment. A decent capability for smaller air forces if you don't want to be in China's MIC orbit (~1,100 mile range, 3.7 tons stores). What other aircrafts are out there that offer similar performance? Thanks.

Re: India's R&D in Defence DRDO, PSUs and Private Sector

An example of how the US protects and retains defense industries and supports domestic production during COVID-19 crisis. Not sure how much lobbying was involved but I admire their prioritization to retain talent. Hoping for a future where we groom a sustainable and vibrant MIC. Pentagon Awards $185...

Sir Modiji has proven his defaulters wrong time and again!! Have patience. Cleaning up the old system like the proverbial 'Augean Stables' is not an easy task and even Modiji will need at least another couple of terms  The current government has been in power for over 6 years now. Cleaning up...

Re: India's Border Security with China and Pakistan-2020

I’ve been lurking on this forum since early 2000s but lost touch (and my old account) after I left desh. Loved the posts from RaviB about the Chinese psyche. I can definitely second a lot of that. Let me share my own experience of interacting/training with PLAGF officer cadets during a mutual train...

Re: Armoured Vehicles: News & Discussion

There could be this possibility of Chinese Type 15 deployed in this confrontation depending on how the situation evolves. What impact does such a light tank provide? Has there ever been a proposal along similar lines for us to develop/ procure a lighter tank or an IFV with a turret to deploy in the ...

Re: India's Border Security with China and Pakistan-2020

What would COVID-19's impact be on our preparations and contingencies? With high altitudes and cold climates, breathing is difficult as is, adequate precautions would have been taken already. I don't recall seeing this discussed earlier, hence asking. With our rates going up, there is always the pos...

We continue to see this MO happen due to our refusal or even a threat to pound their construction or their men squatting on the site while they have no qualms to do so.
