Re: 2020 Strategic and Political Analysis-1

I was asked why I think Muslims mobilise so quickly 1. Conviction - underlying everything is a strong conviction that killing and destroying unbelievers is what God wants. Kafirs are inferior in every way. You will see this pervasive across all levels of society. Infact more in the 'educated'. 2. Tr...

Any thoughts on spinning off a think-tank from BR? Anyone interested in pursuing this thought? That is a super idea. More than a Think Tank you need an Action Group that can fight Information Warfare and change the narrative on ground, on wikipedia etc. Bring out the truth. Accept that govt and rul...

Only way to stop it is to impose severe costs...sometimes it means letting the retaliation play out. That is the only way of effective communication. In UP CM has used both offensive action of police and legal means to impose financial costs. It has had a salutory effect...atleast for now. Vidurji:...

Again, you raise many valid points. Let me share my experience as a DM. Its usually 'minority' community which riots. Police is usually ineffective. So 'majority' has no option but to defend itself. When they do so, entire administration including SDMs, DM, SP, SSP, sometimes even District Judge de...

When I read the anguished posts on the forum I am reminded of a certain field marshal making the comment that the Hindu moral will not stand more than a few blows. The statement and followup on it, if any, by itself is not wrong. Gas supply, Road, Healthcare, School, Agri schemes, etc for All are right. The statement is definitely wrong, because it signifies a mindset that bribing folks is the way forward. And that too based on communal lines. Has he uttered ...

The situation is concerning so I have decided to share my views as a resident of Delhi and a bureaucrat 1. Re. bias against non-infantry arms in IA, some of it is a natural consequence of having nearly 30 years of COIN deployment where the majority of officers seeing action come from infantry. Please do not. This will give wrong impression of politicisation of armed forces. There is already much unwarranted and unsubstantiated media noise on that.

I may add that a large part of this attack is coordinated with our enemies especially Pakistan. ACM Dhanoa is also being made a target.

I think, another aspect could be information overload. Due to IACCS, the shoot down of a Pak UAV near Gujarat must have reached the Northern Command.
