LCH is on schedule, by all accounts. And it will be faster to operationalise due to commonalities with Rudra and Dhruv. Apaches will require completely new logistics and armaments.

We shouldn't forget that LCA derived MCA will be a different bird from AMCA. Different capabilities! Expecting creep of AMCAesque features in MCA are only going to delay it considerably. Aim is to have an aircraft that'll stop all this talk of F-16/18/gripen/etc.

Nirbhay can do the job of Jag lo-lo missions. Cost of cruise missiles is much lower than cost of aircrafts wrt manufacturing, maintenance, training, etc. Not to mention precious lives of our pilots.
