Everyone lusts after the latest beauty, but can they have them?

IAF knows very well, it cannot afford too many Rafales. And the pilots know that they'll be better served in Tejas/MWF in the long term as compared to F-16s or Gripens.

Every statement from HAL has political background to its buckwaas.

How does one explain a company wants capital for setting up the line and commercial rates for the stuff that line produces. And all profits go to paying salaries of unionised staff. It needs divestment before OFBs.

Probably higher throughput, higher fault-tolerance capabilities with more transponders. That may require upgrade of terminals. 6 years is a generation in communication technologies if you were to consider mobile comm equivalency.
