Interesting to see that they have not replace all the 4 Styx with Brahmos.. Why this mixed load of 2 Styx and 4 Brahmos when Styx has lesser range, lesser speed and overall kill power. the only reason I can think of is to have land attack Brahmos and ASHM Styx as a mixed load out, or could it be du...

Re: Breaking News - Osama Bin Laden - killed In Pakistan
BHO destroyed all his credibility when he had the oppurtunity because of "praise the Pakis" BS. He was very guarded. He praised Zardari. Almost like he is trying to prop him up and isolate him from ISI and military. This is Obama's moment of triumph. And possibly his ticket for re-electio...

Yes Mig-23 , any information which missile shot it down ? Looking at the entire video (Bulgarian TV crew I think), it looks like it was an engine flame out. There was no visible SAM contrail, and no AAA visible or audible. I'm surprised at the time it took for the pilot to eject. Trying to get out ...

Unrelated to any of the above questions. From reading various books (none of Paki origin), the general impression I get is that during the Indo-Pak wars, the IA has had trouble defending the Chamb sector. If true, does anyone know why? Does the terrain favor the Pakistani side? I know there is a riv...

I am almost certain that this is the opening for the torpedoes. This is similar to Talwar.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_o_no4M2xEPY/S ... 729221.JPG
Is this opening, next to the door for the torpedoes? Or are the torpedoes behind the boat deck radar suppression screens? Anyone spot them?

Pakistan strike kills 71 civilians So this is the Pakistani strategy. They will use their air force to bomb and kill their civilians. Then say that the collateral damage is too much and they are losing the hearts and minds battle. So they need something much more specialized. Like the Predator. Ame...

I noticed LiveFist's pictures on the new AFS at Phalodi.
I thought this airbase always existed. I've seen it on Scramble.nl for more than a year now.
What's the story?
Also, is Tawang AFS, a helibase?

i know it is a long way away, but any ideas on how the final selection will be made?
Meaning will the govt/ IAF decide aircraft X is what they want, or will there be multiple choices (X and Y) and then the government will launch negotiations?

I voted F-18 Super Hornet, though Rafale would be an excellent choice too. I don't think the F-16 will be a good choice, but, (and this is absolutely no criteria for selection) , if the IAF chose the VIPER , it would be absolutely devastating to the PAF morale. With any other choice (however superio...

Do any of the IN warships carry reloads for their torpedoes?

The picture show some kind of wheeled truck.
Also 2 squadrons, does that mean 2 x 16 = 32 launch vehicles?

Other ideas
(8) Identify possible targets. Create the building plans for these places and make them available to be used by cops/commandos.
(9) All important targets, should have CLEAR, WELL MARKED exits, so people can withdraw in case of trouble.

as long as NSG can reach the destination in less than 30-45 minutes, it should be ok. i guess, the future is more towards distributed security setup.. hence state govts local units should take up NSG commando training to hold up till the NSG unit arrives. This idea of the NSG hub, seems like a knee jerk reaction. On who's recommendation is this being done?
