Could some one please tell me Would there be any impact on voter turn out for seats/polling stations due to the cyclone that just happened ?
Hope it doesn't negatively impact predicted outcomes for the incumbents.

Objections surfacing on RG from Waynad, Kerala too now re. his citizenship, qualification, his former company Back Ops Ltd in the UK and his name. He's had Vinci in his last name. His Doctorate and other foreign qualifications are supposedly under Rahul Vinci. The boy's got to sort this out fairly s...

Has any one seen this clip from LIMA ? One of the few without any music but just the control surface checks and the sound of the F-404 rev -up before display.

Please, please to the powers that be: Think futuristic and include enough space for a 8,000 ft. runway as well on this site.
It will help in future logistics as well as production of fixed wing platforms by the private sector.

117kN ...holly shoot! That's in excess of 26,000 lbs power on the upper end.No need for an F-100/110 class engine. And the family has always had an amazing Spec. fuel consumption record. Thanks again for the feedback.

Good Points Kartik. So F-414 derivatives down the road will have enough growth potential to expand all up weight and thrust requirements as needed for evolving munitions and mission requirements. Not up to speed on EPE ! As of now EPE is still on paper right or has it got into the test bench ?

Re: Tejas Mk.2: News & Discussions - 25 February 2018
Time to take a good look at the GE-F-100 as well, instead of just sticking with the F-414 class of thrust. That would be more than sufficient for growth in the coming decades. Will give it the scope for extended range conformal tanks and heavy cruise missiles among other options, right from the outs...

Re: Military Flight Safety
My thought process for eliminating 1) Bird hit : There would have been an immediate engine flame out, with visible signs of puffs of smoke and debris from the engine. Nothng was seen or mentioned. Bird hit on a control surface disabling the aircraft - possible. 2) Burst tyre and landing gear failure...

Re: Military Flight Safety
Considering all external variables....(heavy jet, drop tanks, Max. MTOW or thereabouts, have done a couple of prior flights before this one) it's beginning to look like a control column/stick jam effecting control surfaces at V - R/2 speed or the other being COG travelling outside the tolerance box ...

Re: Military Flight Safety
Really hope it's not because of an un-tagged control column/( stick) lock, that missed the check list. It's happened before and it will continue to happen. Imagine trying to stop or lift something in full after-burner thrust and suddenly finding it impossible to rotate the aircraft. HAL airport woul...

What about the possibility of Mig-29k transfers to a ground based operation in the next few years due to the issues and the displaced fleet be filled by Raffales or 18's for IN.

While we're waiting for the SP-12, 13s etc to roll off the line.....I'll ask about this doubt in my mind. How does Tejas FCS (or any single engine plane) account for an asymmetry in its weapons load while flying. For example, say it fires one missile or drops one bomb, then the drag on the 'empty si...

Slightly off topic but the rascal Zakir Naik if anyone still remembers him, was requested on extradition, these guys quietly gave him citizenship and a safe house instead. Not nit-picking but the ALH-WSI is an assault helicopter where as the LCH is an attack helicopter. Assault helicopters carry combatants and have self-protection ordnance. Attack helicopters on the other hand carry ordnance only. Slightly different battlefield tasks.

Mid-air refuelling needs an altogether new paradigm of thinking. While the primary objective is to increase the LCA endurance significantly, the future battle space and theatre of conflict may not just be the Pak-Tibet frontier. Due consideration should be given to the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal/And...

Electrical wire looming in aircraft manufacturing is one of the biggest pain in the a.. jobs there could ever be. Its like running a single wire from the front switch ( input) to the output that could be at the tail end of the aircraft. And you've got a thousand of them running through the aircraft....

The most robust engine out there today for the top tier segment of UAV's are turbo-props my friends. The older generation UAV's started with pistons and then slowly transitioned to turbo props. General-Atomics built Predators use TPE-331. An engine that we are so very well versed with on the HAL-DO-...

The IAF should be looking at a stand-off Bomber concept in its inventory now, for induction in about a decade, that goes beyond the range and payload of the SU 30 truck. The munitions list is slowly but surely maturing, both in the powered and un-powered/glide area. But the platforms to carry then h...

If the engines on the Rustom-2 are an Austrian import, there is a high probability that it is the Austro AE-300. It is an amazing engine, very economical and easy to operate and flies on Jet-A fuel although it is a supercharged piston. The DA-42 twin, has the Austro AE-300. Take a look at the specs ...
