Re: Indian Missiles News & Discussions - 17 Dec 2018
This question is for the seniors here; How does the Home-on-Jammer (HOJ) mode of modern missiles actually work? Why didn't the our aircraft use it on 27th Feb? Does Astra come with this mode too? Reminds me of talks I gave to my final year classmates in 1983 on Electronic-warfare , all of them were...

Also I noticed a peculiar pipe-like fitting running through the borders of the canopy with many holes in it. I have never seen anything like it on any other a/c. Does anybody know what it is? My guess is it's just there for added strengthening but I could be wrong. It surely isn't for air-condition...

Re: Indian Missiles News & Discussions - 17 Dec 2018
can someone detail the 2 way data link...how it works... Well it's mostly an automated process where the missile and the fighter's FCR computers talk to each other and make decisions based on what each sees and what one knows about the situation. The FCR computer can actually see what the radar see...

Re: Tejas Mk2 Medium Weight Fighter: News & Discussion - 23 February 2019

Re: Indian Military Helicopters
I know of a few excersises gaming fighter vs helicopters. TACDE is a master in coming up with new games. It is not a given that a fighter will get a kill if it's going against a helicopter. A low and slow helicopter will just keep turning into the fighter to avoid a lock or go below tree line. That...
