Re: Indian History Discussions - III
Hi Kaushal, actually after I met him for lunch anf gave him my lecture, I emailed him the links which someone posted in this very thread about how the finds were inconclusive. And for the final punch to fragile Paki H&D, I mailed him the link where the BJP Spokesman Mukthar Abbas Naqvi makes his...

Re: Indian History Discussions - III
These foreign dorks need to understand that caste is not a bad thing, its misuse and discrimination based on caste is. To explain this to a thick skulled CNN-watcher, compare this to race. Race is not a bad thing, but racism and and discrimination based on race is. Originally posted by rahul r...

Do any of the structures from Rama's time exist? Has anyone visited Ayodhya?

Re: Why has it become so cool to hate India
Namaskaru Kedar, my great grandpa was Bhandary from Kundapur so maybe we are related. :D People in general like to associate themselves with what is cool. This is particularly true with the losers, those who have no achievements of their own, so they want to bask off the reflected glory. If India wa...

This idi0t doesnt realize that his ancestors, Konkani Brahmins like mine were subjected to all sorts of torture when the Portuguese invaded Goa and converted by force to Christianity. The Konkanis who remained Hindu are the descendents of those who migrated south to the areas around Mangalore. Is th...

Can the admin change the topic to lower case (rather, Title Case) characters? All caps hurts the eyes.

Re: Why has it become so cool to hate India
Because we are not taught/brainwashed in school about Indian nationalism the way they do it here in the US. Here CNN and other media constantly drums patriotism in our ears all the time. However, we Indians do get patriotic at the right time as seen during Kargil. What I do hate is some Indians comi...

Re: Time to rethink NFU
What prevents us from canceling NFU at the last moment as we see fit? Have we signed a contract with anyone promising NFU? If not, all we have to do is swear by NFU and then change our stand when we decide on FU (no pun intended!).

Thank God this madman was caught at the airport. I am less than 30 miles away from O Hare. Better news: This should focus attention on TSPs nukes. Time to whip out the TSP nuke scientist met OBL reports and post them all over the internet. Now you see why having a seperate folder for non-Indi...

George J is absolutely right, the meets are one of the best things about BR. Where else can I (and the rest of us) get to meet with a bunch of guys with common interests so much that we begin talking issues with people who are pretty much "strangers" right off the bat?

I noticed that we dont have a BR logo in Hindi. I understand that we should have it in English but I think its important that we have it somewhere in Hindi also.
