No the MAWS is for the Mk2. MAWS is less critical than having a good Radar plus RWR and SPJ combo. The only fighter currently in IAF service with MAWS is the Rafale.

I biggest issue I see wrt India is corruption. Business cannot flourish in corrupt environment. The chinese make very simple things for western countries - glass, spoons, simple stationary, and lots. Even though IA is at advantage position at the chusul sector, I am not certain if the conditions are favorable to undertake a limited operation, because we may be at disadvantage at DBO sector, where they are deep in. Nithin and Shiv are the two most reliable defence reporters.
One of them says Black top not with IA, other says the opposite.

Would be nice if we can have a confirmation. But I will tend to believe Shiv, as he was the only person who reported that some IA troops were captured after Galwan.

I made another observation, the LAC is just 1 km away from DS-DBO road, at the point near Qizil Langar. If there is one strategic location they are in a good position to attack, its DBO runway.
