Converting K-9 to a light tank isn't going to be easy. K-9 weighs 47t (wiki data). Going for a lighter gun would definitely decrease the weight of the turrent and thus the whole tank. #WATCH Trials of Helicopter-launched Nag Missile (HELINA), now named Dhruvastra anti-tank guided missile in direct and top attack mode. The flight trials were conducted on 15&16 July at ITR Balasore (Odisha). This is done without helicopter.

ULH by Bharat Forge is ready. Baba (kalyani) ji ki jai ho !! See in the rear, mounted gun too. This would be interesting. So is the HAL solution of folding 3 blades a compromise solution without adding weight penalties? 500 kg weight penalty is pretty high. And we are yet to add radars into it which will add it's own sweet weight.

After re-reading the article I am getting doubts on authors claim. He takes the IAF declaration of Astra missile integration with sukhoi 30 and declares that IAF announced it's induction .Probably we need to wait till IAF officially confirms it.
