Re: Indian Manufacturing Sector

What was the reason behind improvement in assembling technology and the flourishment of assembling units in India? Many companies (Apple, Xiaomi) have set up/are in a process of setting up factories to assemble their products. However, they are importing core components like semiconductor chips and ...

Re: Indian Space Program: News & Discussion - Sept 2016

ISRO should have tried to develop infrastructure and a team for in house astronaut training and life support systems. They are rushing for the 75 years of independence deadline. It's ruining the experience of a manned space mission.

Re: India's Contribution to Science & Technology

Retired Prof HC Verma, who made high-school Physics interesting through the problems given in this book (some people don't like its theory  although I do), was awarded the Padma Sri on this republic day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Padma_Shri_award_recipients_(2020-2029) He also has a...

Re: Indian Education System

The problem above is not lack of strict rules, it is biss-boor ethics and standards on the part of the instructors and administrators. My argument is that creating stricter rules only bothers those who obey rules. It is usually - almost invariably - a cop-out by people who are not doing their jobs ...

Re: Indian Urban Development and Public Policy Discussion

Improving connectivity to outskirts and surrounding villages like Gurgaon/Noida should work. Try to bring up discrete nearly self-sufficient economic centers surrounding the main city, so people have access to services especially medical services and have to commute "downtown" only for wo...

Re: Indian Education System

Namaste UlonBatori-ji I assume your argument is that creating a stricter examination system will increase stress and frustration among innocent students who are doing their practicals honestly. With due respect, I see that wrong on many levels: 1. If a student is innocent and knows how to do an expe...

Re: Indian Education System

The system for conducting practical exams is pretty dope: cheating, fixing between external examiners and school, etc. It is in such a poor state that it is a well known fact and doesn't need any proof. Schools promote/make sure that all students cheat by copying reading in physics practicals or ask...

Re: Can't join BRF due to no work/ISP email ? Read this.

I bought an email ID for my website just for this, as I didn't want to use my institutional email ID. Now it feels sad :(

I think I'll change my email ID registered with this account to my free gmail ID now.

Will I face any suspension or ban if I change my (current) work email ID with normal one?

Re: Indian Urban Development and Public Policy Discussion

University campuses in main citues (like JNU) account for 1000s of acres in porche and populated areas of South Delhi. It is similar for other tier-1 cities and universities. This forces people to reside in outskirts due to high prices and takes up a lot of space in these congested areas. I think go...

Re: 71st Republic Day - Discussions

I think it would have been a better show if

1. They had a tableaux for Ladakh Union Territory and

2. They allowed Azad Hind Fauj veterans be a part for the second time, like they did in 2019.
