Prashant, Do look up the opening war sequences of Desert Storm and OAF. Apaches were used to destroy early warning sites.
Pakistani radar sites have been a bug bear for IAF in 1965 and 1971.

I think IAF plans to use them for their own missions and roles.

Is this something that we necessarily need Gromov's help with? Would a used Boeing 747 serve the purpose? Or is it really the Gromov/TSAGI expertise that we need? Another lurking concern will be logistics. ATAGS range doesn't come free. It's large chamber volume requires more charges to propel it. I think 6 charges vs 4 for Dhanush. And this will add to the logistics trail. So once weight issue is solved some bright procedures person will bring this up for fu...

I think the source is talking through his hat.
The credibility is based on land based long range missiles which are deployed with SAC.
The short range SUB based missiles hardly add to the deterrent.
And long range missiles are not there yet.

Not really. IA needs support in the strike corps. Those helicopters will be organized into flights and assigned to the corps. All anti-armor role.
IAF are for attack/strike role. Support secondary.
Both services know this.

All those changes make it a new missile.

Kind of defeats the minimal changes that Israelis did.

BTW 250 lbs (forget kg!)weapon does grievous damage if it has the proper CEP.

So 150 Kg i.e ~340lb is good enough with Pinaka2 accuracy.

usually explosive filling is only 20%.
