Hari Nair,
Reliance offset is for parts for other planes made by Dassault.
Also tie up was during UPS with Mota bhai.
Later defence was in Chota bhai share.
He tried to get Russian deals but Modi govt did not oblige.
Somehow Dassault agreed to jave him.as partner.

I think Hollande had a hand.

Khalsa, US found putting a military officer in charge of new weapons procurement helps as he can speak with authority to clear hurdles and smooth ruffled feathers. This is especially true of creating new supply chain. But I have not seen British military officers in charge of programs!

No. Nasr is nuke equipped and much shorter range. This replaces Prithvi which was dual armed and hence unusable. What stops India from using a nuclear warhead on this missile? Those inflatables work with WWII generation radars only. Every RV has a unique beta (Beta = Weight/(Cd*Reference area). What beta gives us if a unique signature as it reenters and only decoy that can mimic the beta of a RV is another RV of same configuration.

So those are useless balloons.
