So it was blind adherence to a process set by SC. Most disasters are exacerbated by such rigidity. SC should be more circumspect in ging long bashans with their judgments which vitiate local initiative.

He is making the ACM PC Lal case.
Would be stronger to say all of India is one theater with Western and Eastern sector. Southern Command is strategic reserve with training thrown in. Theater commands for IAF eould reduce AHW to a central logistics pool. This will effect chain of command.

I think one quick project should be to put the Akash-1S IIR sensor on an shortened Astra motor and make a CCM/WVR missile.

This is doable and retains the skills for the DRDL labs and creates a usable weapon for the IAF and IN.
